Introduction


This report will discuss the information systems that Friends of the Family Child Care Center uses in their facility for daily operations. We will highlight on the company’s history, business strategy and how their single information system helps them accomplish their daily goals. We will also go over the interview we had with the director of the center, learn more about their business strategies, and make suggestions on how they could improve on their processes.




Company History
Friends of the Family Child Care Center was established in 1999 and is a family owned and operated Child Care Center & Learning Center, serving families with children from six weeks to twelve years of age in the Metuchen-Edison area. FOTFCCC is not a large corporation; with only one location, the center caters to each family’s individual needs and creates the perfect program for each family. Located in Edison, NJ for 10 Years and moved to Metuchen, NJ in 2009. FOTFCCC has a 95% retention rate for children; they cater to 98 families and over 30 active employees. FOTFCCC has implemented a single operating system that inhabits all of their needs in one central location, Pro Care. Pro Care tracks employees, client and billing schedules on a central database that allows administrators to take a quick glance and know how the company is doing at a certain time.
